What happens to our resolve that we had as itty bitty babies? That drive that moved us to excel, to learn, to grow, to be brave and take chances? What if we had not had that drive? Would we have learned to walk? Talk? Poop and handle the aftermath of it on our own? Nope, we would be big babies all our lives. Fully dependent on others to do for us what we could be doing for ourselves. But something inside us motivated us. Pushed us to exceed our limitations. To take first steps and try to walk. Rise up off our knees with confidence. And if we fell, we might have cried and sought the comfort of mom or dad. But eventually it wasn't they who motivated us back into action. It was that something we had inside us that did it.
That something that compelled us to rise to our feet and learn to walk when we were toddlers, is still inside of us. Still there waiting to be used. To be put into effect. But we oftentimes become complacent and enter a comfort zone that we are all to unwilling to trade for the anxiety-producing effects of change to our routines. But if you don't do that, what will happen is that you will stay stuck in that stage in life that you were never meant to be stuck in. You will be stuck on your figurative knees crawling when you could be walking, then running, and eventually soaring! Be brave today and rise to your feet! Leave childish ways behind. If you need comfort or a friend to help you achieve your goals, come back here and leave a comment about your struggles. Or shoot me a private message. But don't just sit there and take it helplessly. Take action and transform your life today.
